Another fantasy must: The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman. It's the first in Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy, and is going to be a blockbuster movie this winter, with Nicole Kidman starring in it.
Have to admit I haven't yet read Eragon (gasp!!) but will get around to eventually. :)
Yeah I am a true geek too....Oh darn!! I forgot to put Phillip Pullman in my fave authors post...Shucks. I can't wait to see the Golden Compass when it comes out!!
